Chrysalis Television and Unique Television are to work together in a joint venture to develop advertiser supplied television.
Advertisers will either be able to fund production in full or in part, or fund programmes in which they wish to encourage production. This would offer more opportunities than the present off the shelf sponsorship available.
Tony Orsten, md of Chrysalis TV, today told MediaTel that the subject was too commercially sensitive at the moment to reveal any details other than that they are exploring a number of sponsorship deals supported by ad agencies.
