Advertising Expenditure Sees Steady Growth

Advertising Expenditure Sees Steady Growth

The Advertising Association has forecast advertising expenditure to grow by 4% year on year in 1996 compared to 3.5% in 1995 (figures in real terms).

It is predicted that real growth should continue in 1997 but it is inevitably subject to potential alterations.

Jonathan Bullock, Head of External Affairs at the Advertising Association said that they were encouraged by what they see as reasonable and steady growth in real terms. “It helps advertisers, agencies and the media to plan better. We hope that there will be no return to the yo-yo days of the late 80’s and early 90’s which severely affected the industry.”
