Aegis Media is set to launch a new full-service digital agency early next year in a bid to boost its digital offering.
Former Naked managing partner Niku Banaie will head up the client-facing network, which is set to feature more of a creative element, according to reports.
Aegis, which is currently home to Carat, Vizeum, Isobar and Posterscope, hopes the move will up its digital offering throughout its media communications arm.
The company is also thought to be relaunching its Carat and Vizeum networks, with a new emphasis on integration between online and offline teams.
Around 40 jobs are under review within the group’s global client management team, however, an Aegis spokesperson said only a “handful” of people would be affected by the “internal tweaking”.
A consultation period is due to end next week.
The news follows on from the group’s chief executive Robert Lerwill’s recent departure – John Napier is covering his role on an interim basis (see Aegis chief executive will leave today).
