Commercial radio’s advertising awards, the Aerials, will this year introduce awards for ‘craft skills’. The new categories will be Best Direction, Best Sound Design and Best Casting.
A separate panel of judges, convened by the Association of Radio Specialists, will listen to all the ads shortlisted for the awards and select the winners in the Craft categories.
The Craft Aerials awards will be presented on 22 October at BAFTA.
