The marketing director for the Sun and News of the World, Roland Agambar, has joined rival Associated Newspapers.
His move comes as News International appoints former Coca-Cola marketer Jeremy Schwarz to become its first chief marketing officer.
In his new role, Agambar will be responsible for marketing across the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, reporting to Guy Zitter, managing director of Mail Newspapers.
“Roland has an unrivalled track record in newspaper marketing and will be a great addition to our team,” said Zitter.
Schwartz, meanwhile, will take overall responsibility for the marketing of News International titles including the Sun, News of the World, the Times and the Sunday Times.
Separately, Linda Grant, group marketing director at Associated, has been appointed to the new role of director of commercial development, where she will report to Kevin Beatty, the group’s managing director.
