All Change At Paramount
Paramount Channel , which launched in 1995, is changing its name to The Paramount Comedy Channel from 3 February.
The channel will feature only comedy programmes. 80% of the scheduled programmes are new to the channel; two thirds of these shows are Paramount produced.
Paramount has produced a series of shows, for the weekday 11pm slot, featuring the best up and coming experimental comedians from around the world. These young clowns include Matt Lucas (aka George Dawes from Shooting Stars), Scott Capurro, Dominik Diamond and Armstrong and Miller.
To coincide with the schedule changes Paramount UK has appointed Dan Brooke to the newly created role of Marketing Director. Brooke, formerly at St Luke’s, will be responsible for all marketing and, in the short term, for repositioning Paramount as a dedicated comedy channel.
