Allied Radio, which operates licences in the south east and in Greater Manchester, has cut interim pre-tax losses from £364,000 to £279,000.
The deficit for the six months to March 31 was after charging start up losses for Fortune 1458 AM of £568,000 and crediting a profit on the sale of its interest in Country 1035AM of £389,000.
Turnover improved from £1.34m to £1.55m.
