Amazon Instant launches on iPad to challenge Now TV

A day after Sky announced Now TV’s launch on Apple iPad and iPhone, Amazon has responded by following in its footsteps. Amazon Instant is now available to download on iTunes for iPad.

By logging in with an Amazon username and password, users are able to purchase any movie or TV show from over 120,000 in the Amazon Instant Video catalog. Content is available from just $0.99 per show.

Amazon Prime members also have unlimited access to over 20,000 Prime Instant Videos at no additional cost.

Amazon’s new app also allows users to download rented or purchased Amazon Instant Video movies and TV shows directly to your iPad, to be viewed even without an internet connection.
