Global attention measurement platform Amplified Intelligence has hired Unruly global exec Nigel Ashton to open its new regional HQ in London.
Founded in Adelaide in 2017 by Professor Karen Nelson-Field, Amplified Intelligence specialises in media research and measurement of human attention.
Ashton (pictured, above left) will take on the role of senior vice-president commercial partnerships in EMEA on 28 March.
He will report to chief growth officer and second-in-command Phil Townend.
Ashton is global VP and client partner at Unruly and has also had roles at Oath, AOL, Microsoft, Telegraph Media Group and Mail Newspapers.
Rod da Rosa (pictured, above right) has already started as EMEA commercial operations lead and joins from Accenture Interactive.
Prior to Accenture Interactive, Da Rosa had positions at Virgin, InSkin and TrafficRich.
He will report into Daniel Lyas, head of product operations.
Townend said: “With almost two-thirds of our revenue now coming from the US and UK, it’s critical we give our rapidly expanding client base access to the best in-market support, while also providing air cover from our global HQ in Australia.
“But this is just the beginning of our global expansion plans – and we plan to have on-the-ground representation within four continents by the end of the year.”
Nelson-Field writes a monthly column: Attention Revolution for Mediatel News in which she explores how brands can activate attention to measure online advertising as well as build a better digital ecosystem.
