Amra Creates Management Executive

Amra Creates Management Executive

Amra is promoting key personnel to a management executive which will be headed by Lisa Bourne, herself recently promoted to deputy MD. These appointments continue the company’s preparations for the millennium, ‘Project 2000’, which aims to create a management elite that can respond to rapid changes in regional press and the broader media market. The management executive will develop and oversee Amra’s operational objectives to take advantage of the current activity in the regional press marketplace.

The executive is to comprise: Erica Beven, account manager; Paul House, new business manager and Ian Page, head of recruitment, based in London and Leigh Bulmer, sales group head in Manchester. Bulmer’s appointment is set to expand management capacity in Manchester, freeing up Jeff Lawrenson, operations director to concentrate on new initiatives for clients.

…Peter Phippen, managing director of BBC Worldwide’s UK businesses has appointed Paul Dempsey as sales and trade marketing director. Dempsey moves from sales director at Frontline Ltd. He will be responsible for distribution and trade marketing activities across all BBC Worldwide’s magazine, book, video and spoken word audio lists.
