Abbott Mead Vickers Plc. (AMV) has bought the Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel direct marketing agency for an initial cash payment of £2.44m. AMV will make up to an additional five payments depending on the financial performance of Craik Jones over the next five years.
AMV further consolidates its position as a provider of direct marketing services after it bought Barraclough Hall Woolston Gray two years ago. Craik Jones made pre-tax profits of £454,000 last year on a turnover of £6.9m.
