Abbott Mead Vickers has bought telemarketing company Telecom Express for an initial payment of £4 million. Five additional payments of up to a total of £11.2m, depending on the profitability of the company, will also be made over the next five years.
Peter Mead, chairman of AMV, said: “Telemarketing is a sector we have been looking at for some time. Telecom Express will add significantly to the services AMV can offer its clients. Telemarketing is forming an increasingly important element of promotional marketing, direct marketing and response advertising and is one of the fastest growing areas in marketing services.”
