UK text messaging in June showed no signs of slowing as the Mobile Data Association (MDA) recorded 2.10 billion individual sent messages, setting yet another record month.
June, is the sixth consecutive month to report a total of in excess of 2 billion messages, growing by 28% year-on-year to set the new record.
The MDA and Shearings Holidays have been promoting text messaging for the over 50’s at Wyevale Garden Centres across the country throughout June. The report says that before the roadshow, the majority of visitors have not known how to text and were hesitant to use the facility.
