Another UK Cable Flotation
Bell Cablemedia is thought to be the next cable company to float. Analysts say the flotation could raise over £100m. The company say they would use the money for acquisitions, and speculation is that Videotron, in which Bell already has a 30% stake may be a target.
Bell Cablemedia covers more than 2m homes in Britain – its regional operating companies including Cablevision and Jones Cable will trade as Bell Cablemedia from February 1st.
Telewest floated in November, raising £360m, and other likely cable flotations this year could include Nynex and General Cable.
