AOL Time Warner has appointed Michael J. Kelly as its new president of global marketing solutions, with responsibility for developing and implementing cross-platform marketing solutions across its portfolio of products.
Kelly will report to Dan Logan, chairman of AOL Time Warner’s media and communications group, who commented: “His experience and skills are ideally suited to lead our global marketing solutions group and to help drive the growth of our company’s cross-divisional advertising and marketing initiatives.”
Prior to re-joining AOL Kelly was the founder and chief executive of a local digital media company called American Town Network, which creates local communication networks for households, organisations and businesses. Before setting up this network Kelly spent 17 years in various positions within the AOL Time Warner empire, including working as the publisher for the trademark Entertainment Weekly title. He also worked on the business title Fortune as the New York manager.
AOL recently announced a major content deal with IPC media, which will see IPC provide content and design for AOL’s relaunched TV guide (see IPC Announces First Major Content Deal With AOL UK).
