AOP appoints head of research

AOP Logo Tim Cain has been appointed as the Association of Online Publishers’ (AOP) head of research and insight.

Reporting to Liz Somerville, AOP acting director, Cain will set the AOP’s research agenda and drive a programme of research activity to deliver insight for the association’s members.

Priorities will include developing the association’s Annual Membership Survey, introducing new research initiatives that support members’ business objectives and producing regular industry benchmarking and analysis.

Somerville said: “I’m thrilled that Tim, with his impressive experience in the research field, has joined the team. Research will be a vital part of AOP activity this year, seeing us deliver a full and varied programme to our membership.”

Somerville is acting director of the AOP while it continues to search for a successor for Ruth Brownlee, who left the group last year after just 10 months in the job (see AOP Director Steps Down).
