AOP Appoints Two Co-Chairs

AOP The Association of Online Publishers (AOP) has announced two new chairs from The Telegraph and The Economist, to replace the current chairman Simon Waldman.

Speaking at the AOP’s annual conference in London, Waldman named the two new candidates as Alison Reay, digital media director at Telegraph Media Group, and Mike Seery, chief information office at The Economist.

Reay and Seery are set to serve one year each, with an overlapping six months – it is the first time the chairmanship of the association has been shared.

AOP, which represents over 160 digital publishing companies, is still looking for a replacement for Ruth Brownlee, according to reports.

Brownlee stepped down from her role as director last month due to family commitments (see AOP Director Steps Down).
