Appointments At Cabal Ahead Of New Launches
Magazine publisher Cabal Communications has announced the appointment of four senior editorial staff and a business development director.
Two new magazine projects for the group, announced last week (see Newsline Brief) have created four more editorial positions. Matt Snow and Lloyd Bradley will work together on one project. Both have distinguished careers; Snow has edited Emap Metro music title Mojo for five years and Bradley has most recently held the position of editor-at-large at Conde Nast’s GQ.
Push and Mark Wernham will work on a second project, aimed at the older male reader and due to launch next year. Push was formerly editor of IPC’s Muzik magazine and Wernham has been a section editor and lead feature writer for Melody Maker.
Mark Fitzgerald will take up the newly created position of business development director which will focus on gaining non-traditional revenue for all the Cabal titles, but particularly for male lifestyle magazine Front, at which Fitzgerald currently holds the post of advertising sales manager. He will also be in charge of the commercial growth of the Front website.
