Arena Magazine Gets New Editor

Arena , Emap’s recent acquisition on its purchase of Wagadon (see EMAP Acquires Wagadon For Undisclosed Sum), has appointed a new editor. Greg Williams will replace Ekho Eshun who is to become contributing editor of the men’s lifestyle magazine as well as pursuing his own projects.

Author of two novels, Williams has previously been commissioning editor at both Esquire and Arena. His first task as editor will be the complete redesign of the magazine in time for its March issue.

Emap On Air has taken on new staff to reinforce its London service. Julieanne Toole will join as direct sales manager for Magic 105.4. She will replace Tracy George who moves to Radio City as sales director. Rory Bett is to become promotions manager for Emap On Air, having spent three years at Capital Radio and two years on the Evening Standard.
