William Arnold, previously publishing director at EMAP Media and responsible for the development of Brad’s electronic service has been appointed Business Development Director of the high-tech Internet news service, NEWSdesk International Limited. Arnold will preside over the expansion of the NEWSdesk formula into other industry sectors.
At the same time, Jane Brown, former publisher of Press Gazette, joins as Commercial Director to head up a new London based sales and marketing operation. Joining her will be Alasdair McDonald a former sales executive on Press Gazette and Janine Gawler also from Press Gazette who will manage the London office as well as take on other company-wide administrative responsibilities.
Managing Director of NEWSdesk is John Thater, until a few months ago the managing director of EMAP Media. NEWSdesk carries information from the world’s leading high tech companies and it is accessed by over 5,000 journalists and analysts from 64 countries.
