Associated Maitains Control Of Mail Title In London
Associated Newspapers has won its court battle to prevent Richard Desmond from calling his new London paper the Evening Mail or the London Mail for fears it could be confused with the Daily Mail.
Desmond, who owns the Express Newspaper Group, is set to launch the Evening Mail later this year. The title would compete directly with Associated Newspapers’ Evening Standard, which currently enjoys a circulation of around 400,000 (see Desmond Plans To Launch New Evening Paper For London).
