Associated Newspaper Delays Launch Of London Daily
Associated Newspapers is to delay the launch of its free daily paper London Metro (see Newsline). The title will now launch on 15 March, and will have an initial print run of 100,000, which the publisher hopes will rise to 350,000 by April/May.
The postponement is due to distribution problems according to spokesperson at Associated Newspapers.
Meanwhile, News International is still passing no comment on media speculation that it is preparing to relaunch its old title Today as a rival to Associated’s London daily (see Newsline).
