Babe Trots To Top Of Box Office Charts
The Christmas family movie Babe has gone to number 1 in the box office charts, according to unofficial figures in today’s press. For the three days December 15th to December 17th Babe took £1,361,355, comfortably ahead of his nearest rival secret agent James Bond in Goldeneye which took £981,104. Babe’s chart topping performance is all the more impressive considering that it was shown at 80 screens less than Ian Fleming’s popular creation.
The only other film released last week to enter the chart is the Patrick Swayze fantasy film Three Wishes which took a just £57,708 in a limited release at just 78 screens.
Official admissions figures for November will not be released until January.
