Baker Signs To Talk Radio

Danny Baker, who was sacked from his Radio 5 Live football slot for insulting listeners, has now joined Talk Radio .

He will be presenting a new weekly two-hour show at 5.30pm from tomorrow. The as yet untitled slot will run in direct opposition to Radio 5 Live’s David Mellor show, Six-O-Six.

…According to leaked audience figures reported in the Independent, Radio 1 lost 135,000 listeners in January when Chris Evans left the station. Listeners had however already begun to desert the station, with 500,000 leaving in the last quarter of 1996 (subscribers click here for the latest Rajar figures).
