Bannister Steps Down As R1 Controller
Matthew Bannister has stepped down from his position as controller of Radio 1. He will be replaced by Andy Parfitt, his deputy at the station. Bannister will retain his position as director of radio at the broadcaster.
Since Q2 1996 Radio 1’s weekly reach has dropped from 11 million to 9.4 million.
