BARB Resolves Data Problem

BARB has said that ATR, the contractors supplying its data, have resolved the problems that led to the “regrettable” delay in the release of viewing figures earlier in the month.

BARB’s chief executive, Caroline McDevitt, said: “We are confident that the teething problems of recruiting and installing a new and much larger panel have been resolved. We have every confidence in the new contracts and believe that the data that is emerging is accurate and robust.”

The consolidated data for the first eight days of January, live and recorded viewing, be issued from Monday 4 February. Reissuing of data will continue at the same rate until Tuesday 5th February, by which time BARB anticipates that production will have caught up to 22nd January.
