Batman Forever Box Office Receipts

Batman Forever has taken £4,714,153 in its first three days of release. This is £160,984 less than the record takings that Jurassic Park took in 1993 and £1,939,357 more than the previous opening of Batman Returns in 1992. One reason why Batman Returns took less could be attributed to the fact that it was rated 12 while the other two were both rated PG.

Although Batman Forever took less than Jurassic Park it did outperform it in the takings per screen; Batman Forever took £12,212.83, Jurassic Park took £11,181.50 and Batman Returns £6,767.79. Batman Returns went on to gross £11 million and Jurassic Park went on to gross £46.7 million (which is at present the highest grossing takings at the UK Box Office).
