Bauer Appoints New Video Acquisition Chief
Bauer Media has announced the appointment of Marco Nadotti to the newly created role of head of video acquisition and syndication.
Nadotti will be expected to expand video services across Bauer’s portfolio of websites, which currently serve around two million videos a month.
His brief is to work with current Bauer brands such as FHM, Kiss, Magic and heat as well as acquiring new video content and seeking syndication opportunities.
Nadotti will work across a range of genres, from celebrity to specialist, in a wide range of formats across different platforms, including broadband, mobile and IPTV.
Steve Buckley, Bauer Media’s head of video ventures, said: “We’re delighted to have someone of Marco’s calibre join us. He’s a highly respected figure in the booming video market.”
He added: “His skills in acquiring the right content and getting it in front of viewes will enable our digital businesses to accelerate video plans.”
Nadotti previously worked for Blinkx, the world’s largest video search engine, where he was director of content acquisition.
