BBC Magazines Announces Centralised Ad Team
BBC Magazines has appointed Matt Teeman as advertising director of its newly created centralised sales team.
Teeman, formerly sales director at Beeb Ventures, will head the new Key Customer Group, which will work alongside the existing sales teams to offer a “one stop shop” service for advertisers interested in cross media deals.
Other appointments include, Matt Simms, also formerly of Beeb Ventures, as agency account manager and Vicki Sutherland, previously sales executive on the Radio Times, as client account manager. Acting ad manager on Good Food magazine, Lorna Ko, will now take on the role of agency/client account manager and Liz Harvey, ad research executive across the lifestyle titles, becomes senior research executive.
BBC Magazines’ managing director, Peter Phippen, said: “The Key customer Group will be an extremely valuable addition to our existing sales teams and will allow advertisers access to the range of brands we have at BBC Magazines, as well as the cross media opportunities presented by BBC World Wide.”
The new centralised sales team will make use of research carried out by Naked, which reveals that readers of different BBC magazines have certain similar characteristics.
