Last night saw BBC One air a special edition of The Apprentice in aid of Sport Relief, featuring celebrities such as Phil Tufnell and Kirstie Allsop.
It was pretty good viewing too, as the boys clashed over who should be team leader while the girls went ahead and got on with things.
The hour long show, on from 9pm, had a peak audience of five million adults, or a 22.5% share of the audience, while an average of 4.6 million stuck with it for its duration.
It was the most watched show at 9pm, easily beating its nearest competitor, Channel 4’s Grand Designs, featuring the ever-dashing Kevin McCloud.
McCloud was revisiting the site of a flat-packed triumph, and a peak of 3.1 million adults went along for the ride.
Over on ITV1 at the same time was Rock Rivals, the drama about a Pop Idol style show.
The series has not yet proved a hit with viewers, and yesterday evening’s edition had a peak of 2.9 million adults.
There was football last night on Five, with the channel showing UEFA Cup action in the form of PSV Eindhoven v Tottenham Hotspur.
The writing was on the wall from the very start for Spurs, as they attempted to avenge their one – nil loss in the first leg.
Although Tottenham managed to score, the Dutch side’s quality proved to much for the boys from White Hart Lane, who were vanquished in a penalty shoot out.
A peak of 2.7 million adults watched the footer, with an average of 2.2 watching the entire coverage.
