BBC Parliament arrived on Sky’s digital satellite TV yesterday with live coverage of the State Opening of Parliament by Her Majesty the Queen.
BBC Parliament provides live coverage of the House Of Commons, proceedings from the House Of Lords and about 25 hours of Select Committee coverage each week of the parliamentary year. The channel’s coverage doesn’t use commentators – captions let viewers know who is speaking, provide constituency or party information and short facts about the topic being discussed.
