BBC Recruit Granada Programme Guru

Granada head of programmes, David Liddiment, has been recruited by the BBC as its head of light entertainment, having been responsible for ITV rating successes such as Coronation Street and You’ve Been Framed. Liddiment’s appointment is a further step by the Corporation to appeal to target audiences outside of the ABC1 bracket in order to increase its audience share, which has fallen below 30% for the first time in eight years.
