BBC Signs Spielberg Film Deal
BBC Television has signed a five year output deal with DreamWorks SKG, the new studio formed by Stephen Speilberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen.
Under the deal, BBC TV will acquire the television rights to all live action and animated feature films produced by the company and released in cinemas between 1996 and 2000.
Both animated and live action films will be available for television two to three years after it is produced by DreamWorks and released in cinemas. It is expected that 35-40 films will be included in this agreement.
