BBC Takes Majority Share Of Listening In Latest RAJAR Figures

The BBC has stolen the largest slice of the pie away from commercial radio in the latest radio audience listening figures, released by RAJAR this afternoon. For Q1 1999 All BBC Radio took a 50.3% share of listening, leaving All Commercial stations with 47.5% and Other Listening taking the remaining 2.2%.

In terms of reach, however, commercial radio steals it with an average weekly reach of 31.5 million people, compared to the BBC’s 30.5 million. All Radio’s reach in Q1 1999 was 42.6 million.
