The BBC is to take legal action over criticism of a Panorama programme by the Broadcasting Complaints Commission. The commission said that the programme, “Babies on Benefit”, broadcast in September, was misleading and unfair in its portrayal of single mothers. The BBC is seeking a judicial review of the case and is standing by the programme.
