BBC World TV To Launch In The US

The BBC yesterday announced the February 1995 launch of its 24 hour news service network in the US.

Initially launching to 75,000 cable subscribers in Texas, Nebraska and Montana, the service will draw most of its output from the European version of the service due to launch in January 1995. It is hoped that up to 6 hours of US news will be produced by the end of 1995. The news service will be distributed through International News Network (INN).
