BBC’s ‘Perfect Day’ Is Okay

According to the latest CIA MediaLab survey the BBC’s promotional re-work of Lou Reed’s classic ‘Perfect Day’ was fairly well-received by the public. The youth audience (15-34) was found to be most aware of the video as 60% of this group claimed to have seen it. Only 47% of 35-54s took any notice and only 20% of over 55s could recall the promotion. Of those who had seen the star-studded performance 88% said they liked it.

The media industry protested that the promotion was an advertisement and therefore in contravention of the BBC’s charter which states that the corporation must not use any form of advertising. The public, however, does not seem to mind.
