Beeb Loses Its Marketing Director

The marketing director for Beeb.com, Simon Johnson, is leaving the group this week to create a new media consultancy.

He will be joining forces with Harry Weber-Brown, who also left the beeb.com last week, where he held the position of head of business affairs.

The new commercial consultancy, called Affinity Interactive Media, will be concentrating on developing brands in the online media and music sectors.

Johnson, who has previously worked on the Financial Times media titles, commented: “Predominantly, we intend to focus on transforming conventional media products into online items. Our interest is mainly commercial and revenue focused.”
