Bell Atlantic Wins Cable TV Rights

In a move expected to cause fierce competition between existing cable operators and regional telephone companies in America, Bell Atlantic has been granted permission to use its telephone network to carry cable television signals into the homes of its customers. Many other applications to carry cable signals have also been filed, and these are now expected to be given the go ahead by the Federal Communications Commission.
