Big Breakfast Crunch For Anniversary
Planet 24, in conjunction with Wessex Character Licensing, is launching a new range of Big Breakfast products to celebrate the shows successful first anniversary and to increase audience ratings.
Outlining the promotion today, Jonathan Clark of Wessex Licensing confirmed that the branding will consist of Big Breakfast crisps, sweets, as well as a range of breakfast items.
The Big Breakfast launched on September 28 last year, attracting over 600,000 viewers on the first day, almost three times the amount of viewers for its predecessor, Channel 4 Daily.
BARB figures for last week indicate that the zany breakfast show, hosted by Chris Evans, now attracts an average morning audience of around 950,000. GMTV, which got off to a bad start in January, has now settled into a comfortable position with audiences topping 1.5m at the peak.
