Big Brother Benefits From X Factor Departure

Big Brother Channel 4’s Big Brother last night reasserted itself with more than 20% of the adult viewing share, now that X Factor: Battle Of The Stars has departed our screens.

Over four million adult viewers tuned in to BB last night. Nominations will be shown tonight; newcomer, the cross-dressing Sam, and hyper-whiney Nikki will be up for eviction on Friday.

BBC One did well with Eastenders and Holby City grabbing over seven and five million adult viewers respectively. BBC Two’s Springwatch was no match for Holby, but continued to flourish in its own right with over 18% (over three million) of the adult viewing share compared to Holby‘s 30.8%.

Five’s most successful programming of the night came in the form of two CSI shows, which scored over two million viewers each.

Overnight data is available each morning in mediatel.co.uk‘s TV Database, with all BARB registered subscribers able to view reports for terrestrial networks, ITV2 and Sky One.
