Blind Date And Generation Game “Too Smutty”
According to CIA MediaLab’s latest sensor, 43% of adults agree that Blind Date and The Generation Game have become too lewd, 27% disagree and 30% are indifferent or do not know.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, older viewers are particularly likely to agree that these shows have become far too smutty; among over-45 year olds, just under half (48%) agree and 21% disagree. Opinion among the 15-34 year olds shows however that even among them, more agree that there is too much smut (37%), than disagree (35%).
CIA MediaLab has also investigated people’s attitudes to the National Lottery; 56% said that the identity of winners should not be revealed. 28% disagree, and believe that the public has a right to know who has won the lottery, with a nosy 2% believing that the public has a right to known not just about the winning money but also their private lives. An additional 12% claim that too much publicity about lottery winners puts them off the media.
