The Telegraph Media Group has signed a deal with blinkx to show the group’s TV footage through blinkx’s video search engine.
Telegraph video footage, including breaking news clips, original weekly shows and business analysis, was previously only available at Telegraph.co.uk but users can now access it at www.blinkx.com.
Advertising revenue its expected to be shared between the two companies.

“News searches are among the most popular on our site, and we’re constantly improving our audience experience by adding high-quality, diverse coverage of current affairs to our index,” said Chandratillake.

Telegraph.co.uk has enjoyed a significant rise in popularity over the last year, recording an impressive year on year increase of 125% which brings its total number of unique users up to 22 million, according to the latest ABCe figures (see Olympic Fever Sees Online National Newspapers Figures Soar).
