From today, Bloomberg Television is available free-of-charge to Sky satellite viewers in the UK and Ireland. The 24-hour English-language news channel has started broadcasting on the Astra 1a satellite.
The channel is already transmitted on a number of UK cable networks, but this deal represents a significant audience acquisition for the company, making it a more attractive proposition for advertisers.
The service will also be part of the Sky Digital package, expected to launch next spring.
