BMPtvi Relaunches With Interactive Focus
![]()
BMPtvi, the interactive TV agency owned by BMP DDB, is transferring its focus from creative to media planning and buying on interactive platforms and is relaunching as OMDtvi.
The agency, which is shifting over to BMP’s main media agency OMD, will focus on developing interactive TV campaigns with existing clients such as Rimmel and will continue to deliver a “full array” of agency services including broadcast consultancy and consumer research.
OMD says that the decision “reflects the media driven nature of the interactive TV market at this stage” and insists that OMDtvi would retain a creative function and its technical alliance with BBC MediaArc.
Andrew Howells, director of OMDtvi, will continue to lead the operation with Toby Hack, head of interactive media projects. Howells said: “As an integral part of OMD UK, we are in a great position to work with clients within the media planning and consultancy areas. Our aim is to develop creative interactive solutions as part of the agreed communications strategy for any one client.
Last September the first UK media agency to specialise in digital TV, guerillascope, was launched cater for companies wishing to target the growing digital TV audience (see UK’s First Digital Agency Launches).
