ITV Sport today signed up Bob Wilson as its new football anchorman. The former Arsenal goalkeeper joins ITV after spending twenty years as a presenter with BBC, working on Football Focus, Grandstand and Sportsnight.
His first role for ITV will be to present the channel’s opening match, which features Manchester United versus Gothenburg on September 14 in the Champions League. The following night he will be covering Arsenal’s defence of their European Cup Winners Cup.
There has been no word of what happens to Matthew Lorenzo, ITV Sports’ current anchorman.
