Border Results
Border Television has revealed pre-tax profits of £1.11m for the six months to October 1995, an increase of 31% over the corresponding period last year. Turnover increased by 13% to £6.3m. An increased share of the ITV market and a higher contribution from Century Radio, which began broadcasting in September 1994, attributed to the good results.
Border’s television advertising revenue increased by 12%, compared to the estimated 7% for the ITV market as a whole. Border expects advertising revenue to continue to grow in the second half, although slightly below the level achieved in the first six months.
