There was speculation this afternoon that Scottish Radio Holdings is about to make a bid for Border Television. A statement was issued to the Stock Exchange on behalf of the group after shares in Border climbed £2.65.
Noting the recent increase in the share price of Border, Scottish Radio said that it is “considering the basis upon which any proposal, which may or may not include an offer for Border, might be formulated by SRH.”
It added that “any offer for Border (if made) is unlikely to be at any significant premium to Border’s current market price” and stated that a further announcement would be made in due course.
