Border Television has teamed up with CLT, the Luxembourg based international broadcasting group, to acquire radio licences in the UK. The two companies have set up a joint company called Investors in Radio, which will apply for new radio licences and even acquire existing ones.
CLT is the main shareholder in Atlantic 252, and also has stakes in Country 1035 and 12 European radio stations. Border has been active in the radio market; it is a partner of Grampian Television in Scot FM, the new regional broadcaster for central Scotland, and owns Century Radio in north east England.
