Bravo Hooks Up Fisherman’s Friend Sponsorship

United Artist Programming has created a new all-inclusive broadcast and Internet sponsorship package for its Bravo channel and confectionery brand Fisherman’s Friend. The deal includes a Fisherman’s Friend Internet site, on-air sponsorship of Bravo’s “Fear, Frenzy and Fright” film season, teletext pages, on-air promotions and competitions as well as spot advertising.

The Fisherman’s Friend Net site features images drawn from the confectionery brand’s TV commercials and style press ad campaign and also links directly to Bravo’s own Net site. The on-screen sponsorship credits have been themed to match the horror film season which goes out nightly (Monday to Friday) at 10pm during February.

UAP’s Head of Sponsorship, Meiron Alcock, said: “To really make a sponsorship work you have to create an affinity between the brand and the programme. The Bravo/Fisherman’s Friend deal does that with radical executions on TV and on the Net.
